P247AExhaust Gas Temperature Out of Range Bank 1 Sensor 3

P247A means the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected that the exhaust gas temperature (EGT) reported by bank 1 sensor 3 is outside the range the PCM expects for the current operating conditions. The PCM compares that sensor's signal against modeled exhaust temperature and the other EGT sensors, and it sets this code when the reading stays too high or too low for a calibrated amount of time.
