P2AA5EGR Cooler Bypass Control Circuit Driver Current/Temperature Too High Bank 1

P2AA5 means the engine computer has detected that the driver circuit for the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooler bypass control is drawing too much current or that the driver chip inside the control module is running too hot. The circuit is responsible for moving a valve that routes exhaust gas around the EGR cooler, and when the driver sees excessive current or temperature it sets this code to protect itself from damage.
