P2AA6 means the engine computer has detected that the driver circuit for the bank 2 exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooler bypass valve is drawing excessive current or has reached an abnormally high internal temperature. The computer monitors the driver chip that controls the bypass valve solenoid and sets this code when the current or temperature exceeds a safe threshold, indicating a short circuit, a failing solenoid, or a wiring fault.
