DTC codes / P28xx · Transmission / P28D2
P28D2 indicates that the transmission control module has detected an abnormally low voltage on the phase U, V, or W circuit of clutch B, which is part of an electrically driven clutch or hybrid transmission system. The computer compares the commanded clutch state with the actual electrical feedback and sets this code when the circuit voltage falls below the expected threshold.
Guidance is general and written for all OBD-II vehicles. Exact tests and values vary by model, so confirm the fault before replacing parts.
