DTC codes / P28xx · Transmission / P28D3
P28D3 indicates that the transmission control module (TCM) or hybrid control module has detected an abnormally high voltage on the phase U, V, or W circuit of clutch B in a multi-clutch transmission or hybrid drive system. The circuit is monitored for voltage outside the expected range, and a high reading typically points to an open circuit, a short to power, or a failed clutch actuator or coil.
Guidance is general and written for all OBD-II vehicles. Exact tests and values vary by model, so confirm the fault before replacing parts.
