P2798 indicates that the transmission control module (TCM) has detected a low-voltage condition on the control circuit for the electric or auxiliary transmission fluid pump, often called the auxiliary pump. The TCM commands the pump to run and monitors the circuit for expected voltage; when the feedback voltage stays below the calibrated threshold, it stores this code and may disable the pump.
