DTC codes / P25xx · Vehicle speed, idle control and auxiliary inputs / P25A7
P25A7 indicates that the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected an abnormally high voltage on the fuel mode select switch circuit, which is used to tell the computer which fuel map or mode the driver has selected. The PCM expects a voltage within a specific range, and a high reading typically means the circuit is open, shorted to voltage, or the switch is not providing the expected ground reference.
Guidance is general and written for all OBD-II vehicles. Exact tests and values vary by model, so confirm the fault before replacing parts.
