P24C7Particulate Matter Sensor Temperature Circuit Range or Performance

P24C7 indicates that the powertrain control module has detected an out-of-range or performance fault in the temperature sensing circuit of the particulate matter sensor, which is used on diesel and gasoline direct-injection engines to monitor soot loading in the exhaust. The computer compares the sensor's temperature signal against expected values during key-on and running conditions, and it sets this code when the voltage or calculated temperature falls outside the calibrated window for a specified time.
