P24C9Particulate Matter Sensor Temperature Circuit High

P24C9 indicates that the powertrain control module has detected an abnormally high voltage on the temperature sensing circuit of the particulate matter sensor, which is used to monitor soot levels in the exhaust of diesel and gasoline direct-injection engines. The sensor's internal thermistor or its wiring is reporting a temperature signal that exceeds the plausible range, so the PCM sets this code and may disable particulate filter regeneration strategies.
