P24CAParticulate Matter Sensor Temperature Circuit Intermittent

P24CA indicates that the powertrain control module has detected an intermittent fault in the temperature sensing circuit of the particulate matter sensor, which is used on diesel and gasoline direct-injection engines to monitor soot levels in the exhaust. The circuit's signal momentarily drops out or becomes erratic, rather than failing completely, so the PCM cannot trust the sensor's temperature reading and sets this code.
