P248AReductant Heater A Sense Circuit Low

P248A indicates that the powertrain control module has detected an abnormally low voltage on the sense circuit for the reductant heater, which is the heating element used to keep diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) from freezing. The computer compares the expected signal from the heater's feedback circuit against the actual low voltage and sets this code when the circuit is grounded, open, or shorted to a low-voltage source.
