P2426Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooling Valve Control Circuit Low

P2426 indicates that the powertrain control module has detected an abnormally low voltage or current on the control circuit for the exhaust gas recirculation cooler valve. This valve routes engine coolant through the EGR cooler to manage the temperature of recirculated exhaust gases, and a low circuit condition means the computer cannot properly command the valve to open or close.
