P22D8Turbocharger Turbine Inlet Valve Position Sensor Circuit Intermittent/Erratic

P22D8 indicates that the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected an intermittent or erratic signal from the turbocharger turbine inlet valve position sensor circuit. The sensor reports the physical position of the valve that controls exhaust gas flow to the turbine, and the PCM sets this code when the signal voltage jumps, drops out, or otherwise fails to follow an expected pattern.
