P2298O2 Sensor Out of Range During Deceleration (Bank 2 Sensor 1)

P2298 means the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected that the upstream oxygen sensor on bank 2 is reporting a voltage or air-fuel ratio outside its expected range specifically during deceleration. The PCM monitors this sensor continuously and flags the code when the signal fails to track the lean condition that should occur when the throttle closes and fuel delivery is cut.
