P223EO2 Sensor Reference Resistance Out Of Range (Bank 1)

P223E indicates that the engine control module has detected an out-of-range reference resistance value from the upstream oxygen sensor on bank 1, which is the side of the engine containing cylinder number one. The sensor's internal heater circuit or reference element is not reporting the expected resistance, so the computer cannot trust the sensor's signal for fuel control.
