P1810 · FordTFP Valve Position Switch Circuit Transmission 4-Wheel Drive Low Indicator Short Circuit To Battery

P1810 on Ford vehicles means the transmission control module (TCM) has detected a short to battery voltage on the circuit that reports the transmission fluid pressure (TFP) valve position switch status for the four-wheel-drive low indicator. The wire or switch that tells the computer whether the transfer case is in low range is seeing voltage when it should not, so the TCM cannot trust the signal and sets this code.
