P1533 · ChryslerA/C Evaporator Temperature Sensor Circuit High Voltage

P1533 on a Chrysler vehicle means the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected an abnormally high voltage on the signal circuit from the air conditioning (A/C) evaporator temperature sensor. The PCM expects the sensor to pull the reference voltage down to a normal range as the evaporator temperature changes, and a high voltage reading tells the PCM the circuit is open or the sensor is not responding.
