U3561Cathode Bypass Valve Control Circuit

The powertrain control module (PCM) monitors the electrical circuit that operates the cathode bypass valve, which is used in some emissions control systems to manage gas flow through a bypass path. The code sets when the PCM detects an unexpected voltage, current draw, or open/short condition on the control circuit that falls outside the expected range for the commanded state. This is a generic circuit fault, so it can appear on any vehicle that uses a cathode bypass valve, regardless of make or model.
