P1513 · SubaruIdle Air Control Solenoid Signal 2 Circuit High Input

P1513 on Subaru vehicles means the engine control module (ECM) has detected an abnormally high voltage on the signal circuit for the idle air control (IAC) solenoid's second control channel. The ECM expects a pulsed ground signal to modulate idle speed, but the voltage on that circuit is higher than the expected range, indicating an open circuit, a short to voltage, or a failed solenoid winding.
