DTC codes / P2Dxx · Hybrid propulsion / P2D32
P2D32 indicates that the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected excessive current or temperature in the driver circuit for the intake manifold tuning valve on bank 1, which is the side of the engine containing cylinder number one. The tuning valve adjusts intake runner length to optimize airflow at different engine speeds, and the driver circuit is the output stage inside the PCM that supplies power and ground to the valve actuator. When the PCM sees current or temperature beyond its expected range, it sets this code and may disable the valve to protect the circuit.
Guidance is general and written for all OBD-II vehicles. Exact tests and values vary by model, so confirm the fault before replacing parts.
