DTC codes / P2Bxx · Hybrid propulsion / P2BDC
P2BDC indicates that the motor electronics coolant temperature sensor C circuit has reported a voltage or signal outside the range the control module expects, which prevents accurate coolant temperature data from being used for fuel and thermal management. The computer detects this when the sensor signal stays too high, too low, or inconsistent with other temperature inputs during key-on or engine operation.
Guidance is general and written for all OBD-II vehicles. Exact tests and values vary by model, so confirm the fault before replacing parts.
