P2BDBMotor Electronics Coolant Temperature Sensor B Circuit High

P2BDB means the engine control module (ECM) has detected an abnormally high voltage on the signal circuit of the motor electronics coolant temperature sensor B, which is a second temperature sensor used by the hybrid or electric motor electronics cooling system. The ECM expects a voltage within a calibrated range, and a high reading usually indicates an open circuit, a short to voltage, or a sensor that has failed in a way that drives the signal high.
