P2AE1Intake Air O2 Sensor Pumping Current Trim Circuit Low Bank 1

P2AE1 indicates that the engine control module has detected an abnormally low current on the pumping cell trim circuit of the intake air oxygen sensor on bank 1. This sensor, often called a wideband or air-fuel ratio sensor, uses a pump current to maintain a reference air-fuel ratio, and the low trim signal means the circuit is reporting less current than expected for the current operating conditions.
