P2A6D indicates that the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected an intermittent or erratic signal from the alternative fuel rail pressure regulator pressure sensor circuit. The PCM expects a stable voltage or pressure reading within a specific range, but the signal momentarily drops out, spikes, or jumps erratically, setting the code.
