DTC codes / P2Axx · Hybrid propulsion / P2A6C
P2A6C indicates the powertrain control module has detected an abnormally high voltage signal from the alternative fuel rail pressure regulator pressure sensor circuit, which typically means the sensor is reporting a pressure that is higher than the actual pressure or the circuit is shorted to voltage. The computer sets this code when the sensor signal exceeds the expected maximum threshold for a calibrated time, often indicating a wiring fault, a failed sensor, or a regulator stuck in a high-pressure position.
Guidance is general and written for all OBD-II vehicles. Exact tests and values vary by model, so confirm the fault before replacing parts.
