DTC codes / P2Axx · Hybrid propulsion / P2A49
P2A49 indicates that the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected a voltage signal from the alternative fuel tank C pressure sensor that is higher than the normal operating range. This sensor monitors the pressure inside the alternative fuel tank designated as tank C, and an excessively high signal typically points to a wiring short to voltage, a faulty sensor, or a reference voltage issue.
Guidance is general and written for all OBD-II vehicles. Exact tests and values vary by model, so confirm the fault before replacing parts.
