P287BShift Fork A Calibration Not Learned

P287B means the transmission control module (TCM) has not successfully completed the calibration learn procedure for shift fork A, which is the actuator that selects gears on one side of a dual-clutch or automated manual gearbox. The computer commands the fork through its travel range and compares the expected position against the feedback signal, and it stores this code when the learned values are missing, out of range, or the routine cannot finish.
