P27A3 indicates that the transmission control module (TCM) has detected a performance fault with the electric or auxiliary transmission fluid pump circuit designated as 'B'. The TCM commands the pump on or off and monitors its operation through electrical feedback or fluid pressure; when the pump fails to respond as expected or is stuck in the off state, this code is stored.
