P2708Shift Solenoid 'F' Stuck On

P2708 indicates that the transmission control module (TCM) has detected an abnormal condition where shift solenoid 'F' is stuck in the energized or 'on' state, meaning hydraulic pressure is being applied when it should not be. The TCM monitors solenoid circuit feedback and compares it to commanded state; when the actual current or pressure response indicates the solenoid is continuously on, it sets this code and often defaults to a limp-home mode.
