DTC codes / P25xx · Vehicle speed, idle control and auxiliary inputs / P25C2
P25C2 indicates that the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected a high voltage condition on the alternative fuel disable signal circuit, which is used to prevent the engine from running on alternative fuel when conditions are not safe or when the system is commanded off. The PCM expects a specific voltage range on this circuit and sets the code when the signal wire shows voltage above the normal threshold, indicating a short to power or an open circuit.
Guidance is general and written for all OBD-II vehicles. Exact tests and values vary by model, so confirm the fault before replacing parts.
