P254APTO Speed Selector Sensor/Switch 1 Circuit/Open

P254A indicates that the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected an open circuit or abnormal voltage on the signal circuit of the power take-off (PTO) speed selector sensor or switch number one. This sensor or switch is responsible for reporting the selected PTO speed or engagement status to the PCM, and an open circuit prevents that signal from reaching the controller.
