P24B6Particulate Matter Sensor Heater Control Circuit High

P24B6 means the engine control module (ECM) has detected an abnormally high voltage on the heater control circuit for the particulate matter (PM) sensor, which is used on diesel and some gasoline direct-injection vehicles to monitor soot levels in the exhaust. The ECM commands the heater on to bring the sensor up to operating temperature, but the feedback circuit reports voltage above the expected range, so the ECM sets this code and may disable the heater or the sensor's active monitoring.
