P24B5Particulate Matter Sensor Heater Control Circuit Low

P24B5 means the engine control module has detected that the electrical current flowing through the particulate matter sensor heater circuit is lower than expected when the heater is commanded on. The heater is a small resistive element inside the sensor that brings it up to operating temperature so it can measure soot in the exhaust, and a low-current condition points to an open circuit, high resistance, or a failed heater element rather than a sensor reading problem.
