P2490EGR Cooler Bypass Control Circuit Low Bank 2

P2490 means the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected an abnormally low voltage on the control circuit for the bank 2 exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooler bypass valve. The PCM commands the valve to open or close to manage exhaust flow through the cooler, and a low voltage on the control wire indicates a short to ground, an open circuit, or a faulty valve actuator.
