P2477Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor Circuit Intermittent or Erratic Bank 2 Sensor 4

P2477 means the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected an intermittent or erratic signal from the exhaust gas temperature (EGT) sensor located after the bank 2 catalytic converter, known as sensor 4. The PCM expects a smooth, plausible voltage or resistance change as exhaust temperature rises and falls, but instead sees the signal jump, drop out, or fail rationality checks often enough to set the code.
