P245EParticulate Filter Pressure Sensor B Circuit

P245E indicates that the powertrain control module has detected an electrical fault in the circuit for particulate filter pressure sensor B, which is the downstream or outlet pressure sensor on a diesel particulate filter. The computer monitors the sensor signal voltage and compares it to expected values; when the voltage stays out of range or the circuit resistance is abnormal, it stores this code and illuminates the check engine light.
