P23D5Cylinder 2 Fuel Heater Control Circuit Open

P23D5 indicates that the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected an open circuit in the fuel heater control circuit for cylinder 2. The PCM commands the fuel heater on or off and monitors the circuit for expected voltage or current; when the feedback does not match the command, it sets this code. This heater improves fuel vaporization for cold starts and reduces emissions, but the engine may still run normally with the fault present.
