P22EDCylinder 6 Alternative Fuel Injector Control Circuit/Open

P22ED is a generic powertrain code indicating that the engine control module (ECM) has detected an open circuit or abnormal electrical condition on the control circuit for the alternative fuel injector on cylinder 6. The ECM monitors the injector driver circuit for expected voltage or current feedback and sets this code when the signal is missing or out of range, which can prevent that injector from firing and cause a misfire or rough running on engines equipped with alternative fuel systems.
