P22B8O2 Sensor Positive Current Control Circuit/Open (Bank 2 Sensor 2)

P22B8 indicates that the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected an open circuit or abnormal current flow in the positive current control circuit for the downstream oxygen sensor on bank 2, which is the sensor after the catalytic converter. The PCM monitors the current it commands to the sensor's heater or pump cell and sets this code when the circuit does not respond as expected, often due to a wiring fault or a failed sensor.
