P22A5NOx Sensor Heater Control Circuit High (Bank 1 Sensor 2)

P22A5 means the engine control module has detected an abnormally high voltage on the heater control circuit for the downstream nitrogen oxide (NOx) sensor on bank 1. The computer expects a specific current draw through the heater element, and a high-voltage reading tells it the circuit is open, has excessive resistance, or the heater element itself has failed.
