P2280Air Flow Restriction / Air Leak Between Air Filter and MAF

P2280 means the engine computer has detected a restriction in the intake air path or an unmetered air leak between the air filter housing and the mass air flow (MAF) sensor. The computer compares the MAF sensor's reported airflow against what it expects for the current engine speed and throttle position, and it sets this code when the measured airflow is lower than the model predicts.
