DTC codes / P0Bxx · Hybrid propulsion / P0B97
P0B97 indicates that the hybrid or electric vehicle battery pack control module has detected a low voltage condition on the dedicated voltage sensing circuit for one specific battery module or cell group, designated as circuit S. The computer compares this sensed voltage against expected values and flags the circuit as low when the signal falls below the calibrated threshold, which can be caused by a faulty sense wire, a poor connection, or an internal battery module issue.
Guidance is general and written for all OBD-II vehicles. Exact tests and values vary by model, so confirm the fault before replacing parts.
