P043ACatalyst Temperature Sensor Circuit Bank 2 Sensor 2

P043A means the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected an abnormal electrical condition in the catalyst temperature sensor circuit for bank 2 sensor 2, which monitors the rear catalyst on the bank opposite cylinder one. The PCM compares the sensor signal voltage to expected limits and flags the circuit when the reading stays out of range for a calibrated time, indicating an open, short, or excessive resistance in the sensor or its wiring.
