P1192 · JaguarO2 Sensor Heater Circuit Shorted

P1192 on a Jaguar means the engine control module has detected an abnormal condition in the oxygen sensor heater circuit, specifically a short to ground or a short to power within that circuit. The heater element inside the oxygen sensor is designed to bring the sensor up to operating temperature quickly, and when the circuit is shorted the module sees current flow outside the expected range or a voltage that does not match commanded state. This fault can affect one or more oxygen sensors depending on the Jaguar model and engine management system.
