P1292 · GMCNG Pressure Sensor Voltage Too High

P1292 on a GM vehicle means the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected a voltage signal from the compressed natural gas (CNG) pressure sensor that is higher than the expected range for the current operating conditions. The PCM monitors this sensor to ensure the CNG fuel system is delivering the correct pressure, and an excessively high voltage indicates a fault in the sensor circuit or the sensor itself.
