P1650 · FordPower Steering Pressure Switch Out of Self-Test Range

P1650 on Ford vehicles means the power steering pressure switch (PSPS) circuit is reporting a voltage outside the range the powertrain control module (PCM) expects during its self-test. The PCM monitors this switch to detect when steering load increases, and it flags the code when the signal stays stuck high, stuck low, or otherwise implausible during the key-on or running self-test.
