P1465 · FordA/C Relay Circuit Malfunction

P1465 on Ford vehicles means the powertrain control module (PCM) commanded the air conditioning (A/C) compressor clutch on but did not see the expected voltage change on the A/C relay control circuit, so it flagged the circuit as malfunctioning. The PCM monitors the relay control wire for an open, short to ground, or short to power and sets this code when the feedback does not match the command.
