P1395 · FordGlow Plug Monitor Fault Bank 1

P1395 on Ford vehicles indicates that the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected an abnormal condition in the glow plug monitoring circuit for bank 1, which is the cylinder bank that contains cylinder number one. The monitor typically watches the glow plug control module's feedback signal or the voltage drop across the glow plugs to confirm they are energizing and drawing expected current during the afterglow and cold-start phases. When the PCM sees a voltage or current reading outside its calibrated window, it stores this code and may disable glow plug operation for that bank.
