P1488 · ChryslerAuxiliary 5 Volt Supply Output Too Low

P1488 on Chrysler vehicles means the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected that the auxiliary 5-volt reference supply it provides to one or more sensors has dropped below the acceptable threshold. This 5-volt feed powers sensors such as the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor, throttle position sensor (TPS), and others, so a low output can skew multiple sensor readings at once.
