DTC codes / Chrysler codes / P1362
P1362 on Chrysler vehicles means the powertrain control module (PCM) commanded the ignition coil for cylinder 2 to fire, but the coil's feedback circuit never showed the expected voltage toggle, so the PCM cannot confirm the coil actually energized. The engine may run rough or set a misfire code, but often the only clue is the stored P1362 itself.
You can usually drive short distances to a shop, but avoid heavy acceleration and long trips until the fault is repaired. If the check engine light flashes, stop driving and have the vehicle towed because a persistent misfire can destroy the catalytic converter.

Guidance is general and written for Chrysler vehicles. Exact tests and values vary by model, so confirm the fault before replacing parts.
